It’s coming…CarrollCon 2016!

CarrollConThe 2nd Annual CarrollCon will be held Saturday, August 6th during Carrollfest at the band shell in Graham Park from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
CarrollCon is a mini-comic convention that celebrates comics, graphic novels, and manga as well as cosplay (dressing up in costumes like your favorite comic or movie character).  CarrollCon is sponsored by the Carroll Public Library and the Carroll Arts Council.  Special performances include:  Jerry Harrington’s History of the American Comic Book talk, a performance about the ancient Greek games by Darrin Crow, Todd Klocke’s cosplay workshop, and visits from superheroes and villains!  Vendors selling comic-inspired merchandise, art and local Iowa authors will also be set up around the band shell.  Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and will receive a convention bag at the gate and enter to win door prizes like tickets to the Midwest ComicCon in Des Moines!
